So, the new Top Gear has finally arrived. Fans are still mourning the loss of the original line-up (who seem to be having a fantastic time over at Amazon with their new programme The Grand Tour). The new line-up, headed by long-time radio presenter Chris Evans and Friends actor Matt LeBlanc, has been met with mixed reviews, to say the least. The general attitude seems to be that the show itself is up for a bumpy ride without Clarkson, Hammond and May in the driving seat.

Here at the Great British Grooming Co. we aren't so interested in that. Instead, we've noticed that over the years, most of the presenters have eithertried to grow or been forced to grow a beard. For the most part, their efforts have been pretty poor and they could definitely have done with some of our beard oil to really give them facial hair to be proud of.

Which Top Gear Presenter Has Had The Top Beard?

Whether they've attempted to make themselves look a little more distinguished (cough cough, Richard Hammond, cough cough) or have been unable to shave during one of their infamous challenges, at some point all of the original line-up have attempted to grow a beard of their own.

From worst to best, we've decided to rank the Top Gear's top beards!

4. James May - Always the one to be picked on and come in last (no thanks to his horrible taste in cars), May is certainly guilty of the worst beard of the bunch. His attempts to grow a beard look more like he's got some dust stuck to his jaw. Coming out patchy, uneven and weak, it certainly isn't the kind of beard that you'd feel comfortable wearing all the time.

3. Jeremy Clarkson – Clarkson's beard tend

s to grow out unkempt and tangled. A tube of beard wash, or applying a little beard oil now and again could really clean up his facial hair. You know, just in case he needs to look fresh for any disciplinary meeting over at Amazon.

2. Richard Hammond – Hammond's clearly taken some inspiration from Ricky Gervais' David Brent for his... I guess you'd call it a beard. His goatee comes in patchy, out of shape and could really do with some taming. Using our easily portable beard balm could be the perfect solution for him to get that thing under control.

1. Matt LeBlanc – As much as it hurts to say it, the British beards were really letting the side down compared to LeBlanc. His beard is a far cry from the clean-shaven Joey we all know and love. Looking distinguished and mature, LeBlanc's beard looks like the kind of thing both May and Clarkson have tried to go for a separate times. The only thing we could recommend would be using some beard oil to really make sure it remains nourished and the skin beneath stays healthy.

So, unless The Stig secretly has a beard beneath the emotionless helmet (we're hoping for a huge handlebar moustache), that's it! LeBlanc comes in top and it'll be up to him, and his beard, to stop the show from failing now that the boys we know and love have left.
